    Offered for auction is a 3 piece dresser set. I HAVE NOT tested these for silver content. The small box appears to be stamped ' 800 ' and the comb may be as well but the stamping is hard to read. I see no marks on the compact but given its quality it is probably 800 as well but I DO NOT guarantee it.
    The metal is hand chased and may have been gilt washed when new. The compact features a hand painted portrait of an attractive woman. There is a scratch to the left of here face and other normal wear. The smaller box is stamped 800 and the decoration appears hand painted. There is normal wear. The comb may be stamped 800 as well but the marking is tough to read. The decoration on the comb appears TRANSFER PRINTED rather than hand painted as the others are so it may be ' married ' to the set but not sure.
    This is not my area of expertise. Other listings attribute similar pieces to France - Austria and Italy so please use your own judgement.
