This is a listing for an early 20th century American sterling silver and guilloche enamel ladies compact with mirror and chain. The compact is round and measures 2 1/4 inches or 5.7 cm in diameter, the chain measures 5 inches long. The compact has a sterling silver body with a hing at the back and a small clasp at the front. The cover is engraved with line designs, and emameled in light green, and at the center is a small landscape painting with a cottage along the water. The cover has a black enamel border around the portrait and the edge of the compact. The interior has a mirror on the cover and a powder puff on the bottom. The back is marked "INTERNATIONAL W STERLING 284". The wrist chain features long links with engraved details and is made of white metal. The compact is in very good condition there is some age appropriate surface scratches to the piece.
