RARE POWDER PUFF COMPACT & ORIGINAL BOX & instruction sheet. So rare and so desirable....is this Houppette..the French word for Powder Puff These are rare ..and what makes this one even more rare is that it does it has it's original BOX.. This puff is in excellent ... clean condition. The container is made of black celluloid and it has the Eiffel Tower on one side and tiny birds in flight on the other side. The top screws off and the puff comes out very smoothly just as it should The wires are covered with silk and are are excellent ANTIQUE CONDITION. You push it up like an umbrella and it opens... Reads Brevette PLI S.G.D.G made in France on the bottom of the tube. the box is beautiful navy blue with white print and in very good stable condition. no broken down edges or corners ...excellent Condition: near mint....really clean! Plis are French celluloid make-up tubes containing a feather puff that can be exposed with a twist of the celluloid base. Attached to material encasing the outside of the puff are delicate wires that allow the goose down feathers to expand as they are passed through the tube. Powder can be expelled by unscrewing the celluloid cap on the end. as stated the puff is very good and clean condition. tube measures 3.75 inches long. see my other fine vintage and antique vanity items.
