VINTAGE COMPACT
Dainty and sweet vintage 1920s miniature compact or coin bag measuring only 1-3/4" by 1-1/4" and 1/2" deep. Featuring a silver metal octagonal case (possible German silver), front is decorated with a lovely enameled scene of windmills and river - back is machined.  Compact is complete with original chain and finger ring measuring about 4" long.  Designed for holding coins or a puff and powder, interior is clean, missing the mirror.
Condition is excellent with no chips, cracks, hairlines, repairs, discoloration or damage to the enamel or case.  These were designed to be carried while dancing as a way to keep a few necessities within reach - worn with the ring looped over a finger to secure - made popular by Flappers - just an unusual and interesting bag - lovely addition to any collection or display!
