DJER KISS ANTIQUE ART DECO SML SQUARE SILVER-TONE COMPACT - RARE

Very rare 1929 Djer Kiss Deco Compact.  Silver-tone front features an art deco Cubist look.  One can see the influence of the Picasso cubist on the front of the compact and even on the edges of the top are triangles.  Hinged double-framed mirrors.
Petite square compact measures 1-7/8" x 1-7/8".  The Djer Kiss logo is engraved on the front under the closure.  The front closure is tricky - it closes  but the middle metal piece is a slider and you have to catch it just right. It opens to reveal an empty powder compartment and an empty rouge compartment that has mirrors on both sides.  Both mirrors are in excellent condition and the overall condition of the compact is very good considering it is nearly 100 years old!.
Great addition to any vintage compact collection and a must for collectors of antique compacts.
