Offered for your consideration is an elegant Art Deco German .900 Silver box or compact by Louis Kuppenheim. This gorgeous box features classic styles and motifs from the Art Deco period, made sometime between the years of 1900 and 1940 when Kuppenheim was active. Please note that the marks on the lip of the box are quite worn. We do feel confident that the stamp is Louis Kuppenheim's. Please see last photo. The interior features gilding. Direct from an estate and in very nice condition with consideration for age. Overall lovely condition with minor signs of wear to all aspects of the piece. We did not alter or make condition to the box from the condition we received it, nor did we clean it. Condition issues including light tarnishing, minor indentations, scratches and brushes - all typical for the material and age. It presents beautifully. Box measures 2 7/8" x 1/2" x 1 2/3". Weighs a total of 97.2 grams. The interior lip of the box is sealed with "LK", a crescent moon and crown mark, and "900" for 900 silver.
