    Description

    ORIGINAL 1942 De SOTO Interior Brochure for the 1942 De Soto wartime personal vehicle published during World War II. Reference #1939M, print code: 9-1-41, printed in the USA by Chrysler Corp. De Soto Division. This brochure was stored inside another brochure which protected it very well through these past 79 years! It measures about: 11" long x 8 1/2" wide closed, folder style. Has 4 pages/sides and measures about 16 3/4" when opened out. Shows 3 pages with WONDERFUL artwork illustrations of the personalized interiors offered including two-toned or neutral colors in broadcloth, velvety pile fabrics, sparkling metallic trim and rich new garnish (woodgrain) moulding. In the Sportsman models you can get rich green, red, blue or tan leather with whipcord trim, standard on convertibles and optional on other models. On the back page is a list of luxurious accessories, called the "Fifth Avenue Ensemble" package, someone color illustrations such as 8-tube push-button radio, rear wheel shields, a cigarette case built into the hub of the steering wheel, electric clock, cigar lighter, five white wheel trim rings, radiator ornament light, electric antenna (rises and resends at the touch of button) and more!
