Early book on the Scottish Terrier, a nice addition to any library. Previously from the library of Francis P. Fretwell,
owner of Monfret Kennels. During his career, he had a remarkable eight world champion standard poodles and established his own registered bloodline. Mr. Fretwell was a former president and governor of the Poodle Club of America, Inc. and the Italian Greyhound Club of America, Inc. He also served as president of the Greenville Kennel Club and was its delegate to the American Kennel Club for decades.
Condition
Front board edge slightly bumped. Tips bumped and lightly rubbed. Light wear at spine ends. Bookplate, ownership and pencil notation on front endpapers. Some spotting on fore-edges (see picture). Interior light age-toned but otherwise clean, with a sound binding. Good condition.
