Table of Contents is at back, and in addition to exhaustive information regarding banking, other items of interest discussed in book are horse trading, poison antidotes, masonry, etiquette, bridal customs, emergency care, stain removal, tables, weights and measures, animal care, cooking...the list goes on and on. Just about everything you would need to know for turn-of-the-century living! NOTE: Book is VERY, very fragile, and requires careful handling. Pages close to the front ARE CRUMBLY, also ones closest to back. Corners are poor, areas missing, and cover is barely attached. Back cover missing a little area. Amazingly, it appears that all verbiage is present, readable and usable. Some staining inside, quite a bit up front, and speckled throughout. A few notations (not many). In spite of condition, it’s fascinating, and has historical value! And all the graphics, lettering, and borders are just so...Victorian! Hope someone will enjoy it, and thanks for looking!
