) The cookbook is identified as the
September 1955
edition. This is a 56 page softcover cookbook measuring about 7¾” x 5¼”. The cookbook has many recipes including Beverages, Cereals, Quick Breads, Yeast Breads, Cakes, Frostings & Fillings, Cookies, Soups, Fish, Meat, Poultry, Meat, Fish & Vegetable Sauces, Eggs, Cheese and Casserole Dishes, Vegetables, Salads & Dressings, Sandwich Fillings, Puddings, and Dessert Sauces. As shown in the photos, the cookbook is in very good condition for its age with some cover wear and light soiling. The booklet is complete and remains securely stapled from its cover to its centerfold. It has nice clean pages with no writing, creases, rips, or tears. This vintage Metropolitan Cookbook would make a great addition to your collection!
