Vintage Italian .800 Silver Gilt Enamel Hand Painted Compact with Lovers Scene

Charming compact of 800 gilded silver made in the middle decades of the 20th century in Italy. This piece is gilded inside and out and is in great condition. The well-painted, enameled scene on front is of two young lovers, with the male playing what appears to be a flute.

here are a few itsy age spots on the beveled mirror, hard to capture in photo
and light rubbing to the engraved back of compact.
Otherwise, very good condition for its age. There is a lovely little pink powder puff inside, real feathers of some sort--very soft!
Most of these compacts were made in Italy from the 1940s to the 1960s by groups of artisans for jewelers in Florence and other cities. This one is marked inside with 800 and what I believe is a city and maker stamp, but I cannot make out the letters. Measures 2 7/8" by 2 3/8" and weighs 74.7 grams.
